The Ohio Department of Health, Community Partners, Hennepin Technical College, and the Greater Cincinnati Chapter of AACN  invite you to join us for our continuing professional development and education webinar series. An enlightening presentation and interactive discussion on “The Principals of Pediatric Safety: Reducing Harm & Preventing Errors”, by Joseph Martinez. Continuing education for EMS and Nursing will be awarded by Hennepin Technical College and the Paramedic Network™.

Joseph Martinez, ACP, NRP

Joe Martinez has worked in Emergency Medical Services since 1987 when he started as a first aid provider becoming an EMT soon after. He became a Paramedic in 1996 and has worked and volunteered as an EMT and Paramedic in both urban and rural services. Joe has also taught EMS skills since the late 1980’s providing education to both pre-hospital and in-hospital providers. He was an EMT and critical care paramedic in air and ground transports with Life Link III for over 18 years. Currently, Joe teaches at Hennepin Technical College in Brooklyn Park, MN as full-time EMS faculty. Joe became a member of the MN-1 Disaster Medical Assistance Team (DMAT) in early 2005 and first deployed later that summer for a total of eight weeks in response to the gulf coast hurricanes. Since he’s deployed several times and has been appointed to serve in leadership roles during some of the deployments.
