Speakers
Dr. Teresa Anderson is an adult outpatient psychiatrist in practice for the past 15 years in Cincinnati, Ohio. She is an alumna of the University of Kentucky College of Medicine and graduated as chief resident at The University of Cincinnati Hospital’s adult general psychiatry program in 2009 while she moonlighted in the PES (Psychiatric Emergency Services). She specializes in treatment-resistant depression, anxiety, PTSD, concussions, and stroke recovery. As of 7 years ago, The Anderson Clinic became the first psychiatrist-run IV ketamine clinic in the state of Ohio. Five years ago, they became 1 of 8 clinics in the nation providing EEG-guided personalized TMS treatment, or PrTMS. Standard TMS treatment only works as well as medications, about 30% of the time. Using an EEG to pinpoint lower-functioning areas of the brain, we can double to triple the efficacy in some cases. Because the treatment is so specialized to the individual, it is safer to use on a wider variety of conditions. In addition to mood disorders, they have improved the outcome for post-stroke victims, ADHD, concussions, post-COVID, and perimenopausal brain fog and is safe to use in people who suffer with epilepsy or who may be pregnant.

“Betsy” Holly Newkirk: I am a nurse practitioner (NP) specializing in cardiology. I care for patients in the Cardiac Catheterization lab at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center. I became interested in a nursing career after hearing patient care stories that my aunt, a nurse educator, shared with me. Becoming a cardiac cath nurse practitioner was a great fit as I have always had compassion for children living with congenital challenges. My care philosophy is family-centered, incorporating compassionate care strategies into family dynamics. I encourage families to share information and ask questions that help us care for their children in the best way possible. When I'm not working, I love to run, cook and spend time with my family.
