Upcoming Webinar: Rethinking Smart Pump Safety in Practice
While IV smart pumps are often used in patient care, many safety concerns and usability issues are not widely known, causing frustration for nurses. To help address this concern, we’re offering an online learning opportunity that we hope chapter members will find valuable. In our free, 60-minute webinar, “IV Smart Pumps: Bridging Expectation and Reality,” on Sept. 18 at 10 a.m. PT, experts from the Elaine Marieb Center will share nurse-led research on the gaps between smart pump design and clinical use. The webinar includes a live Q&A and offers 1.0 CE contact hour (CERP A).

Back by Popular Demand: Nurses Leading Change for Well-Being

Starting Sept. 30, AACN will again offer our interactive workshop series designed to empower nurses in all roles to improve personal and team well-being in their units. This four-part interactive online experience incorporates change management concepts and tools, implementation science and well-being concepts to foster a renewed emphasis on self-worth, compassion and integrity. By combining educational aspects from our CSI Academy nurse innovation program with key principles from our Healthy Work Environments initiative, nurses can lead positive change, both for themselves and in their units. Please encourage your members to explore this course, and consider taking it yourself.
